Sacramento preschool - Lotus Child Montessori

To apply for enrollment in Lotus Child Montessori families must first take a school tour and fill out a school interest form in order to get on the waiting list. School tours are listed on our website calendar. Once a spot is open the family must have an meeting with the director where the philosophy and mission of Lotus Child Montessori are discussed. The parents are asked to do an observation in one or both classrooms so they can see the magic of the Montessori classroom. The director will also meet the child and spend some time in the parent’s presence talking with and working with the child. If both parties feel that the school would be a good fit for the child and family then an application can be filled out and submitted. If there is space in the school that fits the families needs an enrollment packet will be given and the family and school can proceed with the admission process.

Children are enrolled in Lotus Child Montessori after their name comes to the top of our waiting list; they meet the minimum age and toileting requirements for the class there is space in and after the family has had sufficient time to determine they want to enroll. Siblings of enrolled children and alumni are given first priority then children coming from other Montessori programs and lastly new students. Most students enrolled in our school start between 18 and 30 months, however, we sometimes have space to enroll older students.

Tuition is based on the entire school year and will be the same each month regardless of how many days the school is open. If a child begins in the middle of the month tuition will be prorated by the number of school days left in the month.

For occasional care a drop in card may be purchased for $120 for 20 hours of extended care. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance and will be accepted only if there is space available. For one time drop in care the rate is $10/hour. If space allows, families may occasionally add extra school days if care is needed, $45 for school day (8:30 to 3:00) and $35 for AM (8:30-11:45), for afternoons a drop in card can be used.

Lotus Child Montessori offers discounts on school tuition to families where at least one of the parents is an educator, to families who have more than one child enrolled at our school, families who wish to pay in full for the entire school year (September –June) and for children who are 5 before December 1. Lotus Child Montessori will also discuss trades/barters for school tuition for services that we need.
