Friday Daycare
The Lotus Child Montessori Friday Daycare program Lotus Child Montessori provides a summer program for the students who are currently enrolled, were enrolled in the past, and if there is space, those new students who will be coming in the fall and are at least 24 months of age. During summer (July and August) enrichment and daycare in a less structured Montessori environment will be provided.
The Fridays we offer care are listed for the entire school year on the school calendar.
Fridays are optional and can be enrolled in monthly if you choose 30 days in advance as long as there is space. Please note that space may be limited. The only way to guarantee care on Fridays to enroll in advance.
Friday daycare will be done by the children’s classroom teachers and Montessori principals will be followed. Students will have access to the classrooms but there will be more opportunities for outdoors, cooperative play and enrichment.
Care is not available on all Fridays. Some Fridays are inservice days and no care is offered, some are inservice minimum days and pick up is at 12:30pm. Please calendar all Fridays and note pick up times in advance.
New toddlers (24 months and older) to our school must wait until October or November to enroll in Friday daycare once they have had time to normalize to school. Enrollment in Friday daycare will be determined by the regular classroom teachers if the child is ready for a mixed age group setting.
We can not guarantee Friday care for children under 24 months. If your child is under 24 months for part of the school year and care is desired from 8:30 to 3:00, please fill out a form and we will let you know if care can be provided as the time comes closer. It will depend on the need and staffing as children under 24 months require a 1:6 ratio at all times and can not be mixed with older children.
