During summer (July and August) enrichment and daycare in a less structured Montessori environment will be provided and families may sign up for and pay by the week. We typically operate the summer program for six weeks starting the second week of July through mid August. We will have different themed activities such as cooking, outdoor water play, health and wellness, music, dramatic play, etc., as well as half-day sessions designed for the children to stay in contact with the school and continue the work they like to do.  Click here to see the schedule of activities.

Families may sign up by the week or drop in for days to accommodate summer vacation plans. Lotus Child Montessori puts out an interest survey in April and will finalize the summer schedule by the beginning of May so that families and staff may plan accordingly. We will do our best to accommodate the needs of our current families, however, we cannot guarantee a full time schedule in July and August.

We are typically open four days a week and our extended care is shortened a bit to accommodate staffing needs. It is important that staff get a much needed break in summer so they are fresh to start a new school year in September. For this reason we do not operate full time in the summer. The primary and early beginnings classes are often combined changing the age requirement to 24 months in order to comply with licensing requirements.
